Where Nature and Recreation Thrive
The natural open space, parks and trails throughout The Irvine Ranch® comprise more than 50,000 acres
These lands stretch from expanses of untouched oceanfront to the grand vistas of Limestone Canyon
Many parks within the Villages of Irvine feature resort-style amenities- swimming pools, tot lots, picnic areas and much more
More than half of the historic Irvine Ranch has been permanently preserved as parks, trails and open space. It provides aesthetic beauty and recreation for residents who live here and preserves sensitive natural habitats. More than 50,000 acres are permanently protected as a reminder of this region’s natural beauty. And twice, these permanently protected open spaces have been recognized as a Natural Landmark.
The Irvine Company’s long-standing tradition of preserving natural lands and open space has carried over into the design of the Villages of Irvine. There are pocket parks galore, larger parks at the center of many neighborhoods, and direct access to a wide assortment of trails that lead into the permanently protected expanses of The Irvine Ranch®.
Whether you seek a leisurely stroll or a heart-pounding mountain bike adventure, the appropriate path will be easily accessible from your home. Many parks within the Villages of Irvine also feature resort-style amenities -- swimming pools, barbecue and picnic areas, soccer fields and baseball diamonds, as well as basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts. There are lap pools and athletic fields for teens and adults, kiddie pools, tot lots and jungle gyms for the smaller children, and parks and trails for residents of all ages to share.
